_Reporting_

# Show leadership and auditors exactly what security reviewed

Clearly AI records the work behind every security, privacy, vendor, and AI review as it happens. See how long reviews take, how much your team is handling and who's doing it, where coverage is strong and where it's thin, and which risks and non-compliant answers keep coming back. Then export audit-ready reports in your own template, or send leadership a summary.

## What did security review last quarter?

For most security teams, the answer lives in a spreadsheet someone builds by hand. Review work is spread across tickets, documents, inboxes, and trackers. When leadership asks how long reviews take, how many ran last quarter, or which business units never came through review, someone can spend days counting it up. The answer is out of date by the time it reaches the slide.

The patterns that matter most are even harder to see. The same control fails in review after review. The same risk shows up across products. Teams ask the same questions every week. Without a view across all reviews, each one gets handled as if it were the first. And when an auditor asks for evidence, the team rebuilds it from screenshots and old threads.

## How reporting works

1. **Reviews create the record**

Every project, review, risk, chat, and ticket in Clearly AI is recorded as the work happens. Nobody logs activity or updates a tracker by hand.

2. **The dashboard turns it into metrics**

Summary cards and panels show resolution time, volume, coverage by tag, top risks, and recurring non-compliant answers. Pick a timeframe from today to the last 12 months, or set a custom range of up to 24 months. Shared links keep the same window, so everyone looks at the same numbers.

3. **Export and report out**

Download any review as a PDF, Word, HTML, Markdown, CSV, or XLSX file. Fill your organization's Word template automatically. Have the Clearly AI agent draft a leadership update, or schedule recurring summaries through Workflows.

_Resolution time_

## Know how long reviews take, and what's slowing them down

Mean time to resolution is usually the number leadership asks about first. Clearly AI tracks it automatically and shows where the time goes.

- **Mean time to resolution:**
Average days from project creation to first approval, compared with the previous period of the same length
- **Resolution time by tag:**
See which business units, product lines, or review types take longest to approve. Approvals and approvals with conditions count; rejections don't.
- **Projects in progress:**
See every open project by stage, from Draft and Submitted to In Review and Needs Revision, so you know where work is waiting
- **SLA-driven due dates for risks:**
Every risk gets a due date from your SLA for its severity, and the risk registry's Overdue view shows what's slipped
- **Ticket status:**
See tickets created through Workflows by provider, current status, and sync state, so remediation progress is visible without checking Jira or Linear

[See how risks are tracked to resolution](https://clearly-ai.com/platform/resolve/risk-registry)

Clearly AI dashboard showing a mean time to resolution of 4.2 days, resolution time by tag over the last 30 days, and open projects by stage.

_Review volume_

## See how much work your team handles, and who's handling it

Track the volume behind your program, and how it's changing.

- **Projects and reviews created:**
Charted over time, with the change from the previous period
- **Reviews by template:**
See the mix of threat models, privacy impact assessments, vendor risk assessments, AI risk reviews, and compliance evaluations your team runs
- **Projects and reviews by creator:**
See who's requesting and running reviews, and how work is spread across the team
- **Projects by stage:**
Count how many projects were submitted, reviewed, sent back for revision, or approved in the window you pick

Product security, privacy, and GRC teams use the same platform under the same license, so their work shows up in the same reporting.

Clearly AI dashboard summary cards for the last 30 days: 168 chats, an estimated 42 hours of analyst time saved, a 4.2-day mean time to resolution, and 94% satisfaction, above a backlog chart that holds near 20 until a dotted line marked with the Clearly AI logo on October 7, then falls to near zero.

_Coverage_

## Find where coverage is strong, and where it's missing

Tag projects by business unit, product line, region, or review type. Clearly AI breaks your reporting down by those tags, so you can see which parts of the organization come through review and which don't.

- **Projects by tag:**
See the top tags by project count. Projects without a tag are grouped as Untagged, so gaps in classification are visible too.
- **Resolution time by tag:**
Compare how quickly each part of the organization moves through review
- **Unowned and unassigned work:**
Risks without an owner are grouped as Unassigned, so nothing sits without accountability

When reviews are fast enough to run on everything that ships, coverage stops being a staffing question. The tag view shows which parts of the organization to bring into review next.

_Patterns_

## Spot the most common risks, gaps, and questions

The most useful report isn't a count. It's the pattern across every review: what fails most often, what risk keeps showing up, and what people keep asking.

- **Recurring non-compliant answers:**
See the questions that are answered non-compliant most often across projects, with how many answers and how many projects each one affects. These are the controls and policies your organization struggles with most.
- **Risks by type:**
See your most common risk categories across the registry
- **Risks by status and owner:**
See how many risks are open, mitigating, accepted, resolved, or closed, and which teams own them
- **Repeated questions:**
See the questions people ask the Clearly AI agent most often, with how many times each was asked and in how many conversations

Use these patterns to decide what to fix once instead of everywhere: a secure default, a clearer standard, a shared answer saved to the enterprise context graph, or a training topic for the teams that need it.

_Exports_

## Audit-ready exports, in your own template

Every review exports in the format the reader needs. Narrative formats include diagrams rendered inline, so a downloaded file reads on its own, offline, without the app.

| Who it's for | Format | What you get |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Auditors and executives | PDF, Word, HTML | A print-ready report with the summary, every answer in template order, tables, and rendered diagrams. |
| Your organization's template | Word | Your stored Word template, filled automatically with answers from every review in the project, plus project name, dates, review stage, and requestor. |
| Compliance evidence | XLSX | One row per question, with the answer, Compliant (Yes or No), compliance details, and analysis. |
| Wikis and repositories | Markdown | The same content, ready to paste into Confluence or commit to Git. |
| Spreadsheets and pipelines | CSV, XLSX | Tabular asset data, one sheet per table, for filtering and pivoting. |

Exports can attach automatically, too. Workflows attach the review export to the Jira, Linear, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow ticket that started it, so the evidence lives with the work.

_Summaries_

## Leadership updates, written for you

Turning metrics into an update for your CISO or board shouldn't take an afternoon.

- **Draft on demand:**
Ask the Clearly AI agent for a leadership summary, and it writes one from your review data: what was reviewed, how long it took, top risks, and what needs a decision
- **Send on a schedule:**
Set up a workflow to send recurring summaries, so leadership hears about progress without asking

_FAQ_

## Answers to your top questions

### What is security review reporting?

Security review reporting shows how a security program is performing: how long reviews take, how many run, which teams and products they cover, and which risks and compliance gaps come up most often. In Clearly AI, these metrics come straight from the security, privacy, vendor, and AI reviews your team runs, with no manual tracking.

### What metrics does the Clearly AI dashboard show?

Projects and reviews created, mean time to resolution, and resolution time by tag. It also shows projects by stage, creator, and tag; reviews by template; recurring non-compliant answers; risks by status, type, and owner; repeated questions; and tickets by status and provider.

### How is mean time to resolution calculated?

It's the average number of days from project creation to first approval. Approvals and approvals with conditions count; rejections don't. The dashboard compares it with the previous period of the same length.

### Can I see review coverage by business unit or product line?

Yes. Tag projects by business unit, product line, or any grouping you use, and the dashboard breaks down project counts and resolution time by tag. Untagged projects are grouped separately, so classification gaps are visible.

### How does Clearly AI find the most common non-compliant areas?

The Recurring non-compliant answers panel lists the questions answered non-compliant most often across projects, with the number of answers and the number of projects affected. Together with risks by type, it shows the controls and risks your organization struggles with most.

### Does Clearly AI track SLAs?

Yes. Every risk in the [risk registry](/platform/resolve/risk-registry) gets a due date from your SLA for its severity, and the Overdue view shows what's past due. The dashboard also tracks mean time to resolution for reviews.

### Is Clearly AI reporting the same as continuous monitoring?

No. Clearly AI doesn't watch your systems or dashboards. It reports on the reviews your team runs, and each review is a point-in-time assessment of a specific project. The record of that work is saved as it happens, so the numbers are current without anyone updating a tracker. To trigger reviews automatically from Jira, GitHub, and other tools, use [workflows](/platform/workflows).

### What formats can I export a review in?

PDF, Word, HTML, and Markdown are available for every standard review. CSV and XLSX are available when the review template enables them.

### Can exports use our company template?

Yes. If your organization stores a Word template, the Word export fills it automatically with answers from every review in the project, plus project metadata like name, dates, review stage, and requestor.

### Is there an export format for auditors?

Yes. PDF and Word exports give auditors a print-ready report. For compliance evidence, the compliance analysis XLSX lists every question with its answer, a Yes or No compliance status, compliance details, and analysis.

### Can Clearly AI write leadership updates?

Yes. Ask the Clearly AI agent to draft a leadership summary from your review data, or [set up a workflow](/platform/workflows) to send recurring summaries by email or Slack.

### Can exports attach to tickets automatically?

Yes. Workflows can attach a review export to the Jira, Linear, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow ticket that triggered the review.
